Post-Workout Recovery Shake

Superfood focus: Coconut Water & Spirulina

Coconut water is great for rehydration and energy.  Spirulina is a blue-green algae that is great for the absorbable protein and iron content.  I think this smoothie takes care of nicely incorporating the spirulina, which does have a strong taste.

Post-Workout Recovery Shake

Ingredients
  • 8 oz. coconut water
  • ½ cucumber
  • ¼ c mixed frozen berries
  • 1 teaspoon spirulina
  • 1 teaspoon organic sunbutter
  • ½ scoop protein powder or chia seeds (optional)
  • 1 bunch spinach or romaine (both work great)
  • 1 scoop fiber
  • handful of ice cubes
Instructions
  1. Blend all in high-speed blender.
