Golden Milk Recipe

The star ingredient in Golden Milk is turmeric. I drink this a few days a week to curb cravings, reduce inflammation, and lower blood sugar. I love all the additional benefits that turmeric provides. This “milk” is great any time of the day.

FIRST CREATE THE TURMERIC PASTE

Before making golden milk, you need to create the turmeric paste.

To do this combine 1/3 c turmeric powder and ½ c water in a saucepan over medium heat and stir continually for 6-8 minutes. Add a sprinkle of black pepper and 2 T coconut oil and continue to stir for another minute. Let cool and store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks in a glass container.

Ingredients
  • ½ c coconut milk
  • ½ c water
  • 1 t coconut oil
  • ¼ t turmeric paste
  • Cinnamon
  • Cardamom
  • Stevia, honey, or blackstrap molasses
Instructions
  1. Warm coconut milk, turmeric paste, and water in a saucepan over medium heat and stir continually for a few minutes, but do not boil.
  2. Add sweetener of choice.
  3. Serve warm with a sprinkle of cinnamon and cardamom.
