Do You Need To Detox?
A whole food cleanse is a gentle way to support the body in detoxification. I used to avoid cleanses, as I thought the only option was a juice cleanse, that left me weak and hungry. I was turned off for so many years after trying a juice cleanse and my body could have really used the support. Thankfully I discovered detox/cleansing by using real foods. Three days into my first real food cleanse and I felt amazing. The bloat went away, the coffee cravings gone and my skin improved. Oh, and the food was delicious.
It’s no secret we live in an extremely toxic world. From the food we eat to the products we apply to the air we breathe – our bodies are flooded with toxins. At any given moment, tens of thousands of toxins are making their way into the body and wreaking havoc on cells and systems.
Here are some signs that you need to detox:
- You’re bloated and carrying extra weight
- You’re tired, lack motivation, suffer from mood swings and reach for the wrong foods
- You’re addicted to sugar
- Your skin is dull or blemished
Our bodies were designed to detoxify and self-cleanse. However, because there are so many toxins in the world and because most of us don’t fuel our body with the proper nutrition, our bodies cannot cleanse as they were designed to. Therefore, our bodies rely on support to renew and restore.
