A Creamy Smoothie HOLD the Banana

A banana gives a smoothie the right texture and hint of sweetness, but what do you do if you want a smoothie without the banana?
I personally test sensitive on the MRT test for bananas so I chose to avoid them. Here is a peek at the fruits section of my personal MRT results.
You too may be sensitive or you may just want some variety. I have found it is possible to have a creamy smoothie without the banana.
The easiest of all is to replace the banana with ½ avocado. Some more substitutes are:
- Frozen fruit (berries, cherries, mango)
- Frozen almond milk cubes (photo below)
- Nut butter (almond, cashew)
- Pumpkin puree
- Sweet potato puree
- Ground chia
- Oats

Creamy Chocolate Maca Smoothie

Ingredients
- ½ c homemade almond milk
- 2 almond milk cubes
- ¼ c frozen cherries
- 2 Scoops Hemp Force Choco Maca Protein (or 2 T cocao powder, 2 T hemp seeds and 1 t maca)
- 1 T ground chia (mixed with 3 T water)
- Optional- ashwagandha powder (I like Moon Juice)
- Optional- green powder (I like Mighty Maca Greens)
Instructions
- Blend all in a high-speed blender.
