Matcha provides the energy of coffee without the dreaded headache and crash. I recently took a break from coffee and noticed the twitching in my eyelid disappeared and I no longer had an acidic taste in my mouth. But let’s be honest a morning cup of coffee is a wonderful ritual and also a great pick me up. Matcha is a great alternative to a cup of coffee.
Matcha vs. Green Tea?
Matcha is made from ground up tea leaves where as green tea is made from an infusion and the leaves are discarded. Matcha tea has a lot more antioxidants than green tea because you are eating the leaves.

Ingredients
- 1½ c almond milk
- ½ frozen banana
- 1 c frozen mango
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- 1 teaspoon culinary matcha
- 1 teaspoon camu powder
Instructions
- Blend all in a high-speed blender.
- Add any toppings you like such as chia seeds, goji berries, blueberries and hemp seeds.
