How I Balanced My Hormones

A year ago I had my hormones tested and my naturopath suggested seed cycling as a way to bring back balance. The imbalance I had was too much estrogen and not enough progesterone. Some symptoms that occur when these hormones are out of balance are weight gain, insomnia, fatigue and anxiety to name just a few.

How to seed cycle

You consume 1 tablespoon of flax seed and 1 tablespoon of pumpkin seed on days 1-14 of your menstrual cycle.   On days 15-28 you switch to 1 tablespoon of sesame seed and 1 tablespoon of sunflower seed. You need to grind the flax seeds in a coffee grinder. I use sprouted pumpkin and sunflower seeds and you can grind those too, but I like to have mine sprinkled on a salad or on oatmeal. Another option is to add the seeds to a smoothie.   Results do not happen overnight and for me it took three months before I noticed improvement. One year later I am happy to report my test results show up great.
